Jean-Marie Massaud designs the GranTorino HB sofa as a micro-architecture. The seat structure is in metal tubular with intertwined elastic straps. Backrests and armrests are made of birch plywood. The external padding of backs and sides is in polyurethane foam and polyester wadding while the inside is covered with a soft quilt made of fabric with “X” stitching and padded with polyester wadding. The seat cushion is in goose down and polyester wadding with polyurethane foam stabilizing insert. To enrich the backrest to each element is associated a precise number of “mobile” cushions filled with goose down, 60×60 cm and 47×47 cm. The feet are in titanium-colored painted aluminum with plastic protection tips. The covering provides the combination of leather or leather to the fabric: leather or leather for the vertical panels and removable fabric for the base, cushions and quilt. The leather version is embellished with prominent stitching and the clean cut leather is finished by hand. The side table has a base in titanium-colored steel or gunmetal and the top is in Canaletto walnut or covered in Pelle Frau® or Saddle Extra Leather.
