ALMO

The Italian-Spanish duo, Gracia Cumini, designs the Almo sofa, taking inspiration from a typical element of 50s Spain. Almo is the diminutive of almohada, a traditional and comfortable Iberian pillow that, with its narrow, long and not too deep shape, also becomes a practical backrest and armrest. Almo multiplies in depth the visual effect of the cushion, generating a harmonious rhythm of horizontal lines. Almo becomes a micro space in space. An intimate, protective and personal place, designed to measure new gestures and new habits. Almo can be completely covered in Pelle Frau® leather or alternatively, in leather for the structure and in fabric for cushions and seat. All seams are tone on tone. Padding of polyurethane foam and polyester wadding in the lumbar cushion, in the armrests and in the backrest. Structure in birch plywood, poplar and solid tulipwood for back and arms. For the seat, solid beech and poplar, birch plywood for the side panels and medium-density wood fiber for the front and rear infill. Metal details on the frame under the seat with pearl gunmetal finish. Feet in glossy black nylon.
